This article gives educators resources to help develop what is termed "cultural humility." These resources will help as we design lessons and units to help students navigate through their own inherent biases.

I love this article. The crux of this article is the importantce of building meaningful relationships in schools with kids. Anyone who has been in a school over the las couple of decades knows that homeroom (has a litany of names) has been a dark void for many students. Some schools work really hard at making this time meaningful, some miss even the remote opportunity of building a relationship with students. Two other books I love: One Kid at a Time and The Big Picture: Education is Everyone's Business.

This was an article that caught my attention this week, and was tweet-worthy! It may sound cliche now but how are we thinking about the "why" of curricular decisions. There are some good questions in here to help reflect on that idea. For me, reflecting on the new high school English Language Arts curriculum that we are starting to roll out in our district.
